ESRC Studentship My research focuses on how young asylum-seeking, trafficked and refugee children and young people experience transition to life in the UK. Through interviews with 50 young people, I will explore how these young people make sense of the educational, cultural and spatial transitions they have experienced. More broadly, the research will examine how discourses of children’s rights, immigration control and educational inclusion work to construct these children in policy and practice.
