The project aims to trial and continue developing a resilience-based intervention to reduce reoffending in young offenders. Dr. Rowan Hodgkinson and Dr. Stuart Beattie originally developed the resilience intervention at Bangor University. Due to Covid, the original pilot had a small sample size, but the intervention showed promising results. The next stage of the research is to trial the intervention across Youth Justice Services in North Wales, with counties from South Wales acting as the control group.
