Course Content and Aims

The Welsh Government offers internships and commissions research which can involve postgraduate researchers.  How can postgraduate research students engage with policy? This event will:

(a) outline the nature of current internships in the Welsh Government and the process through which they are set up;
(b) present two examples of research that the Welsh Government carries out or commissions;
(c) provide an overview of policy processes in the Welsh Government and the role of research in this;
(d) provide information on the range of careers in government where research skills are helpful.
