DESCRIPTION:This two day retreat will bring together doctoral students work
 ing on socio-legal projects involving an empirical element and will examin
 e the methodological\, practical and ethical issues involved in exploring 
 law from the bottom up. The focus will be on methods of data collection an
 d analysis which emphasise lived experiences of law.\n\nThe event is free 
 for ESRC funded students (except for travel) and fifteen bursaries for eve
 rything but travel are also available for non-ESRC funded students.\n\nFor
