SUMMARY:Research\, Impact and the UK Parliament
DESCRIPTION:The UK Parliament Universities Programme is launching a series 
 of regular events to take Parliament outside Westminster. This inaugural 
 event will cover the following areas\, with lots of opportunities for que
 stions:\n\n 	The differences between the UK Parliament and UK Government\n
  	How the UK Parliament uses research\n 	Contacting MPs and members of the
  House of Lords\n 	Working with Select Committees\n\nUsing Parliamentary O
 ffice of Science and Technology research into the 2014 REF case studies\, 
 these events will discuss how academics are having impact in Parliament an
 d give practical advice and information about how to get involved. The UK 
 Parliament was cited in 20% of case studies submitted in the 2014 REF. Par
 liament was cited in all four REF panels. 88% of higher education universi
 ties submitted case studies citing the UK Parliament.\n\nThe fee is £40.
