Deadline: Monday 5 May 2014
On the 23 & 24 June 2014, Cardiff University’s Graduate College will be hosting an interdisciplinary conference exploring the theme of ‘crisis’. This term is generally defined as a time of ‘intense difficulty or danger’, or as a time ‘when a difficult or important decision must be made’. As these definitions make clear, crises are not exclusive to particular social, cultural or historical settings: they are common to almost every conceivable context. They can have profound and often permanent implications for the stability, structure and functionality of those contexts which they affect.
Further information about the call and sub-themes can be found on the UGC Crisis Conference page from where the conference submission forms can be downloaded. Abstracts should be submitted, using the form, to CrisisConference@cf.ac.uk.
