Proper measurement of constructs is of utmost significance in behavioural and social sciences. This workshop aims to give you a nuanced understanding of the foundations underlying the development and validation of multi-item scales. The workshop will present a non-technical, practical overview of the principles and practices involved in scale construction, use, evaluation and interpretation. You will be exposed to relevant theoretical approaches, both classical and contemporary, guiding the development and evaluation of measurement scales.
