All day, Thursday 5 March 2015

Place: James Callaghan Building, Swansea University, Swansea.

This workshop will address various issues affecting governance in the UK, Europe and globally, both currently and looking forward.

This event will feature contributions from

  • Professor Mark Bevir (Professor of Political Science at UC Berkeley and Distinguished Research Professor at Swansea University)
  • Academic staff from the Department of Political and Cultural Studies at Swansea University
  • Peter Hain MP
  • Andrew Davies, Chair of Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University Health Board

It will bring together PhD students and scholars from different disciplines, and has the support of staff and students from all three departments in the Political Science and International Studies pathway at Swansea, Aberystwyth and Cardiff. There will be various research presentations as well as a chance for PhD students to get feedback on their research from members of staff who specialise in their areas of research.

It is an excellent chance for PhD students to be exposed to some cutting edge research on governance in Wales, the UK and internationally, to receive feedback on research, and to network with students in other disciplines and from other universities who might be exploring similar research interests.

Anyone interested in attending can contact Dr Dion Curry, email: D.S.D.Curry@swansea.ac.uk or tel: 01792 295628.
