DESCRIPTION:The British Library's Doctoral Open Days are a chance for new P
 hD students to discover the British Library’s unique research materials
 . The events are solely for first year PhD students who are new to the L
 ibrary. Attendees at this event will learn about the Social Sciences col
 lections\, find out how to access them\, meet expert staff and have the o
 pportunity to network with other researchers.\n\nLunch and refreshments wi
 ll be provided. To make the most of the day\, students may wish to get a
  free Reader Pass before the event.  A small number of £20 travel bursa
 ries are available for students coming from outside Greater London.\n\nCo
 st £5\, book online.\n\nThere is another chance to attend an open day on
  Friday 13 December.
