11:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Friday 11 October 2013
Place: University of Glasgow, Glasgow.
The last of a series of symposia hosted by BERA for early stage postgraduate researchers in education – from those finishing a Master’s and looking to progress beyond, to those in the early stages of doctoral work. The aim is to provide a safe but critical ‘space’. Participants will give 15-minute presentations about their research followed by constructive feedback and discussion sessions with their peers.
The session will be led by an experienced educational researcher who will help guide and structure the event, but at the core of the symposium is peer review and support. Participation will give an excellent opportunity for PGR students to develop their research ideas, presentation skills and also relevant networks. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. There is a maximum of 10 people, to allow time for everyone to participate.
The deadline is for applications is 28 August. BERA is offering travel bursaries of up to £100 per person for five applicants to each event.
To apply, download the application form. This includes the relevant email address to which the completed form should be returned.
