The call for papers for the WISERD 2015 Annual Conference is now open.

This is the sixth annual WISERD conference. WISERD conferences attract colleagues from across the academic, policy, public, private, and third sectors in Wales; and have become established as one of the most important events in the social science calendar.
Karl Wilding, Director of Public Policy at the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) and writer and political economist Will Hutton will deliver two of the keynote addresses at the 2015 event.
The Wales DTC is once again working closely with WISERD in the planning of the conference. It will include opportunities for Doctoral students to present papers, enter competitions and profile other aspects of their work in a vibrant and supportive setting. The DTC will also run a session on ‘Getting published in academic journals’.

WISERD are inviting proposals for the WISERD 2015 Conference which address the following research themes:
- Education
- Social Care, Health & Wellbeing
- Civil Society
- Inequalities
- Data & Methods
- Devolution
There will also a be a series of Open Sessions reflecting the broader research interests and priorities of the social science and policy sectors within Wales, the UK and internationally.
WISERD conferences have an emphasis on fostering collaboration and inter-disciplinarity and contributions are welcome from colleagues from all academic disciplines and sectors, as well as presentations from PhD students and colleagues from the public, policy and practice communities.
