We are inviting applications for a 3 month internship running from March/April 2015, based in Cardiff. This is a re-advertisement, but please note the internship has been substantially revised, with shorter duration.
Deadline: Friday 30 January 2015
The ESRC Wales DTC and the NSPCC Cymru/Wales invite applications for an 3 month internship to start in March or April 2015 with the NSPCC Policy and Public Affairs Team in Cardiff. The title of the internship is “Exploring well-being indicators and examining how they can be used to safeguard and protect children from abuse and neglect” (note that this internship differs from the one recently advertised).
The broad aims of the internship are
- To review the existing literature on well-being measures and comment on the evidence base underpinning any commonly used indicators.
- Explore how well-being measures can and cannot be used to inform our understanding of specialist populations such as Looked After Children, Children In Need and those young people on the Child Protection Register.
You can download the full description of the revised internship (Word Doc, 66kb) and the revised application form (Word Doc, 2.1mb) which should be returned to the Wales DTC office by 4pm on the day of the deadline.
