We are inviting applications for a 6-month internship running from February 2015, based in Cardiff.

The ESRC Wales DTC and the NSPCC Cymru/Wales invite applications for an 6 month internship to start in February 2015 with the NSPCC Policy and Public Affairs Team in Cardiff. The title of the internship is “Exploring well-being indicators and examining how they can be used to safeguard and protect children from abuse and neglect”.
The broad aims of the internship are
- To review the existing literature on well-being measures and comment on the evidence base underpinning any commonly used indicators.
- Explore the current, and proposed, use of well-being measures in public policy in Wales.
- Examine how well-being measures can be used to understand the need of children and young people.
- Explore how well-being measures can and cannot be used to inform our understanding of specialist populations such as Looked After Children, Children In Need and those young people on the Child Protection Register.
