The latest addition to the Wales DTC’s growing bank of resources comes from Julie Latchem, who is just beginning her second year of her Cardiff-based PhD on the sociology pathway.

In a piece entitled ‘Thinking through public engagement and impact before, during and after the PhD – a guide to getting started‘, Julie shares her experiences of her own public engagement activities and impact plans. Julie agreed to write the guide in return for a small grant from the DTC that helped her to run a public engagement event.  ESRC funded students of the Wales DTC should watch this space for details, to be published shortly, of how to apply for such funds in respect of your own PhD study.
