The ONS Public Policy Analysis Division in Newport has three Internship opportunities, and is working directly with DTCs to offer the Internships to ESRC funded students. The internships are for 6 months each, commence between Autumn 2014 to January 2015.

The titles of the three projects are:

• Life Expectancy Assignment by Socioeconomic position
• Developing a new measure of average point score in education
• Improving and Extending Capital Stock information using micro level business data

In line with the ESRC Internship Scheme, students undertaking the internships would have a six month paid extension to your PhD and reasonable T&S costs will be met. This is an interesting opportunity for students with strong statistical skills.
