DTC WISERD Winners

Doctoral students attending the recent WISERD conference in Aberystwyth were invited to enter two competitions, both with cash prizes of £200.

The second competition, sponsored by the ESRC Wales DTC, offers a prize for the best short essay on collaboration with non-academic organisations. Heather Norris’s winning entry is based on her collaboration with the Youth Justice Board and several schools to look at restorative justice interventions.  You can read her entry Collaboration, Compromise and Cultivation.

Professor David James, Director of the DTC said ‘My congratulations to both Rhian and Heather.  The quality of entries to these competitions was generally very high, and we plan to run them again as part of next year’s WISERD conference in Cardiff’.
